District 153 selling bonds to cover new roof at Hart

The District 153 school board expects to sell $11 million in life safety bonds in the next year to cover expenses for building repairs.

A new roof and HVAC components at James Hart School are expected to cost $9.45 million. The work will be done in summer 2026. The board will also finish its work on the ventilation systems in five classrooms at Willow School for $176,250, according to Eric Trimberger, chief school business official.
