Homewood police officers responded to Wind Creek Casino’s parking garage at 17400 Halsted St. about 12:20 a.m. Friday to investigate a report of an armed robbery. 

Officers learned that a subject with a firearm exited a silver SUV and approached the victim, who was walking from his vehicle to return to the casino. The armed subject cornered the victim and took the victim’s phone. 

The subject returned to the silver SUV, which fled northbound and exited the parking garage. No one was injured during the incident.
