Flossmoor police is investigating a report of shots fired just before noon Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the intersection of Flossmoor Road and Kedzie Avenue.

Police said initial information indicates two westbound vehicles might have been involved, and both apparently left the scene.

There is no immediate threat to the community, police said, but officials at Homewood-Flossmoor High School at 999 Kedzie Ave. which is located at that intersection, and District 161, which does not have schools in the immediate area, were notified out of an abundance of caution.
