Flossmoor Streetscape Project Open House. Flossmoor will host an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. in the village hall board room, 2800 Flossmoor Road, to present plans and answer residents’ questions about the downtown streetscape project that is about to start. Preliminary work, including tree removal, already has begun in the downtown area.
Fairy Tales. Irons Oaks, 2000 Western Ave., will host a magical forest experience from 6 to 7 p.m. for children aged 3 to 10. Children will have the opportunity to create their very own wand, build their very own tiny fairy house in the woods, and relax listening to a story where the magic of the forest comes to life. Wear your magical clothes (or borrow ours) to enhance the experience. A non-paying adult must accompany child. The fee is $10 for park district residents, $12 for non-residents.
