Prairie State College will host a town hall meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, for veterans, active duty service members and their families.
The event at the college, 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights, will provide an opportunity to connect with key speakers who will address the link between military service and pathways to citizenship.
The discussion also will address the challenges veterans and their families may encounter during the citizenship process, while also exploring practical solutions to support those who have served our nation.
Attendees also will have the chance to watch a screening of the short documentary film, “Bring Them Home,” which explores these issues. Attendees also will have the chance to ask questions, share their perspectives and contribute to a collaborative conversation aimed at driving meaningful change.
