National Library Week ‘Drawn to the Library.’ In honor of this year’s National Library Week theme of “Drawn to the Library,” Homewood Public Library is accepting drawings from patrons that answer the question, “What draws you to the library? Is it books? Programs? Art activities? Book club? Storytime? Computers?” This is not an art contest and one winner will be “drawn” randomly from each age group, from young kids to seniors over 60, but all drawings will be on display during the month of April. Gallery of drawings will be open from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m.
‘With a Voice of Singing’ Concert. Grande Prairie Choral Arts will present an afternoon of choral classics with music by Martin Shaw, Ola Gjeilo, Felix Mendelssohn, Haydn, Handel, Brahms and Brunner. No tickets required but free will donations accepted. Starts at 3 p.m. at 1131 Douglas Ave., Flossmoor.
