Gov. J.B. Pritzker proclaimed Monday, March 31, as Transgender Day of Visibility in Illinois, highlighting the state’s human rights law that protects transgender people from discrimination.
To mark the occasion, the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) issued non-regulatory guidance on the right to be free from discrimination on the basis of gender identity.
