Dear Mr. Crump and the entire H-F Chronicle Staff,
I want to take the time to thank you all for your coverage of the upcoming election on April 1, 2025. I, like I would guess many HF residents, am not always engaged as much as I could or should be in local elections. It has always been easy for me to dismiss local races in favor of state or national ones, largely in part because, more often than not, our local elections do not offer a choice in candidates — that is not the case for the April election.
I don’t believe I am alone in finding the many articles you have published both useful and insightful as I dig into who we have stepping up and asking for our vote to lead our towns, school boards, and other various boards. We in the Homewood-Flossmoor community are lucky to have a local independent paper reporting on what matters and impacts us most. This is just one of the many extras that we have when choosing to live in this diverse and inclusive place we call home.
Thank you again for your diligence and dedication to making this community a better place now and for years to come. We appreciate you!
