Pace, RTA to host public meeting March 4 on South Halsted improvement plan

Pace, in collaboration with the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), will hold an open house meeting for area residents to help shape the future of land use and potential transportation, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure improvements along the Far South Halsted Street corridor

A related project is also advancing Pace Pulse service on South Halsted, north of Harvey.

Officials will present an overview of the project so far, share findings about the corridor as it is today and invite community feedback and recommendations on potential infrastructure improvements.

Exhibits will be on display, and project team members will be present to discuss the project and answer questions. 

The meeting will be open from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Prairie State College in the Proven IT Room, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights. Attendees should enter through door M36.

Parking for people with limited mobility is off Coolidge Street in Lot B. Residents using that lot can enter through door M34. This meeting will be accessible to people with disabilities.
