Curtis Lee Harris III was born to Tiara and Curtis Harris II of Lynwood at 9:43 a.m. at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, making him the first baby born at the hospital in 2025.

He weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. He is the first baby born to the Harris family, who did not know the baby’s gender until he was born.

Tiara Harris was due on Jan. 13. The couple was married on Jan. 2, 2024, but had hoped to be married on New Year’s Day as the first couple married of the new year.

“I joked that it would be just our luck that this will be the first baby born of the new year and he was,” Curtis Harris II said.
