The driver and two occupants of a vehicle that struck a pole Monday, Nov. 25, were injured and transported to area hospitals for treatment, according to Homewood police.
The crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the 18100 block of Harwood Ave., police said. A white Nissan was traveling northbound when it drove off the roadway.
At about 4:45 p.m. the village sent out an e-alert notifying residents that both north and southbound lanes of Harwood were closed between 183rd Street and Ridge Road because of the crash investigation.
Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the crash along with the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team (SMART).
