Homewood-Flossmoor Board of Education will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Viking Room, South Building, 999 Kedzie Ave. The agenda is available here. The board will consider “possible action to approve new superintendent employment agreement.”
HPL 100th Anniversary Celebration. Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, will host a second centennial celebration from 4 to 7 p.m. “Join us for light refreshments and a trip down memory lane.” The library also hosted a party April 27 to mark the anniversary.
Pathways Home Annual Fundraiser. South Suburban PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter, or SSPADS) is hosting its 2024 Pathways Home Annual Fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Dolphin Lake Clubhouse, 2700 W. 183rd St. in Homewood. The evening is a ticketed event open to local businesses, the faith community, foundations, volunteers, and individuals with a passion and vision to impact the community to help individuals and families escape homelessness.
