Metra is holding hearings on its proposed $1.135 billion budget for 2025, including one in Homewood on Thursday, Nov. 7.
Riders are welcome to comment from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Homewood Village Hall, 2020 Chestnut Road. The proposed budget holds fares steady at current levels and relies on sales tax revenues and federal COVID-relief aid to cover the expected growth in expenses.
Metra has also proposed a $366.4 million capital plan that continues major investment in bridges, stations, and new and rehabilitated rolling stock. For full budget details, click here.
