Creepy Fun for Kids. Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., will host a Halloween activity for kids age 3 to 8 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. “Do you like shivering and giggling? This is the program for you! We will tell spooky stories around a fake campfire and become mad scientists with an experiment! Please wear clothing that can get messy. Children under 9 years old must have an adult caregiver stay with them at the program.”
Learn to Curl. The H-F Park District will host lessons on the sport of curling at the H-F Ice Arena, 777 Kedzie Road from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. on Mondays from Oct. 28 and Nov. 4. In the first session, the focus will be on the fundamentals. In the second session, participants will be “all set for game play.” Participants should bring clean, grippy shoes, and dress in warm layers. For ages 15 and up. Early Voting Begins. Voting in person on touch-screen voting machines in the Nov. 5 election opened Oct. 21 and continues through Nov. 4. Locations and hours for suburban early voting are available here. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 through Oct. 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 28 through Nov. 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 3 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 4.
