Terrifying Toxic Tour. South Suburbs for Greenspace and scientist David Zaber will lead “toxic tours” through Izaak Walton. Guides will take groups of 12 through the woods and prairie until they arrive at polluted ponds. There will be information about the science issues, civic issues, and impact on people, pets, and wildlife. Meet at the main Ridge Road parking lot, 1100 Ridge Road, at 3:30 p.m. The last group will depart at 3:55 p.m. The total walking distance is approximately two miles and attendees should dress appropriately for the terrain.
