Volunteers working with South Suburban PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) will be collecting school supplies for the homeless children served by PADS, and children in neighboring south suburban communities.
The drive from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, will be at the parish’s north parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood. This is a pop-the-trunk event with volunteers collecting donated items directly from your car.
Supplies needed include clear backpacks, 24-packs of crayons, No. 2 pencils, pencil cases, blue and black pens, Post-It Notes, spiral notebooks, three-ring binders, two-pocket folders, colored pencils, colored markers, notebook/loose leaf paper, glue sticks, 12-inch rulers, highlighters, flash cards, pencil sharpeners and erasers.
