On Saturday, June 1, volunteers will be collecting food donations from 9 to 11 a.m. at the parking lot of St. John Neumann Church, 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood.
Donations are given to the Catholic Charities Food Pantry in Park Forest where between 100 and 150 families come for food each week.
While the distribution center has its fill of Mac & Cheese, it would greatly appreciate dry cereal, canned fruits, canned tuna and salmon, canned peas and mixed vegetables, spaghetti and pastas, dried beans and canned kidney beans, black beans, great northern and pinto bean, and cream of mushroom soup.
