Homewood Stories makes change to Wednesday for March show

Five storytellers will be performing at the Homewood Stories program on Wednesday, March 20, at the Flossmoor Community House.

Because the building at 847 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor is used as a polling place on Tuesday, March 19, Homewood Stories has been moved from its traditional Tuesday session to the following day.

The five presenters are Peter LeGrand, a middle school teacher who co-hosts storytelling shows in Oak Park; Tony Labriola, a three-time Emmy Award winner as a video producer/director for his work while a professor at Governors State University; Joy Wright, a writer, social justice activist and fundraiser for a queer healthcare organization; Suzy Dritz, a part-time legal secretary and operator of senior social program for Jewish Community Centers of Chicago; and Karen O’Donnell, a dentist by day, and Homewood Stories producer and host.

Guests are invited to join in around 6:30 p.m. when the doors open. It is suggested that guests bring their own beverages, food and snacks. The program begins at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 at the door, or $15 if purchased in advance at here.
