Chicago Knockouts Roller Derby is speeding into its first bout of the 2024 season on Saturday, Feb. 24. This match follows last year’s league championship, when the Horrific Haunters took the title in an edge-of-your-seat, two-point win. The defending champions will face off against the Punk Rock Punishers.

The bout will be held at the Homewood Auditorium, 2010 Chestnut Road. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., and the action begins at 8 p.m.

General admission tickets are $15, floor seats are $20, and front row seats are $25. Tickets can be purchased in advance at https://linktr.ee/chicagoknockouts until midnight on Friday, Feb. 23.

Tickets are available for the same price at the door, cash or card. Some bouts sell out, so organizers recommend that spectators purchase early.

Onsite vendors will include Rabid Brewing, Cinnaholic, Galaxy Concessions and Moonlight Been.

Chicago Knockouts Roller Derby is a combination of full-contact sport and entertainment, modeled after the rough-and-tumble televised roller derby of the mid-20th century and underground revival of the early aughts. CKO first got rolling in 2018 with a vision to return the classic game to its birthplace of Chicago, where roller derby was first created in 1935.

Showmanship, irreverence, and personality collide as CKO’s four local teams duke it out for a chance to win the title bout at season’s end.
