The Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra is accepting application submissions from all performance-ready youth musicians for the 15th Annual Rising Star Showcase.
The deadline is Feb. 5.
The Rising Star Showcase is designed to offer performance-ready music students from Chicago’s South Suburbs a chance to perform before a live audience.
Past IPO Rising Stars have gone on to great musical success, with many securing collegiate music scholarships. A notable number of Rising Stars have become accomplished, professional musicians.
Applications are accepted for solos with or without accompaniment, duets, trios or quartets. Piano accompaniment is available upon request.
Applicants must provide all contact and musical information along with a sample performance recording to be considered. A 45-minute virtual coaching session with a member of IPO will be scheduled with all students selected.

The IPO Rising Star Showcase is presented by the volunteer “Friends of the IPO.”
