Franciscan Health offers two free cancer survivor events in October

The Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields invites south and southwest suburban cancer survivors to save the dates for these upcoming free events.

Genetics and Cancer: What Families Need to Know

Join licensed and certified genetic counselor Malavika Praseed McGrail at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, for a discussion about the role of genetics in predicting the likelihood of future cancer diagnoses.

Chair Yoga for Cancer Survivors

A recent study revealed that participating in a yoga program helps cancer survivors feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Reserve by Oct. 11, to join Lisa Miller at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, for a relaxing experience.

Space is limited for both events and reservations are required. Please call Ann Cuvala,  the Comprehensive Cancer Institute’s nurse navigator, at 708-855-7284 to make your reservation.

The Comprehensive Cancer Institute is located at 3900 W. 203rd Street on the Franciscan Health Olympia Fields campus.
