Homewood police responded at about 12:46 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, to the 17600 block of Halsted Street to investigate a report of an armed robbery.
Officers learned that three armed persons approached the employee of a bank ATM armored truck and demanded money. They obtained an unknown amount of cash and fled the area northbound in an unknown vehicle.

No one was injured during the incident.
The Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit is assisting Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) with the investigation.
