Volunteers needed for BMW Championship

Golf enthusiasts, you have a chance to be part of the BMW Championship at Olympia Fields Country Club this summer by serving as a volunteer.

The event taking place Aug. 15 through 20 will have the top 70 golfers on the PGA Tour playing to win. The BMW Championship is the penultimate event of the PGA Tour FedExCup Playoffs. All proceeds from the BMW Championship benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation supporting caddies with their college expenses.

Volunteers will work four- to six-hour shifts, depending on assignment. Volunteers perform key tasks inside and outside the ropes during tournament week, including welcoming thousands of patrons each day, assisting corporate hospitality guests and selling apparel in the event’s merchandize tent.

Volunteers are asked to purchase a volunteer uniform package for $175 that includes: two Peter Millar golf shirts; a Peter Millar outerwear piece; a hat or visor; a BMW Championship-branded bag; a volunteer credential, valid for entry all week; food and beverage vouchers on days assigned.
