Gather around the poker table at the 19th annual Texas Hold’em Tournament benefitting the Cancer Support Center on Saturday, Feb. 11, at Balagio Ristorante, 17500 Dixie Highway in Homewood.
Registration is $175 in advance or $200 at the door. The fee covers tournament entry, food and open bar. Spectators can register for $50. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and play begins at 5:30 p.m. The grand prize is $5,000 awarded to the final eight players. There is a “last woman standing” prize for the final female. Other games of chance will be offered.
For women who want to learn the game, Poker Power will be hosting a Poker 101 table for women interested in learning the game. The tutorial starts at 4:30 p.m.
This fundraiser gives 100% of its proceeds to the Cancer Support Center to enable to agency to continue providing free services to cancer patients and those who support them. Over the past 18 years, Texas Hold’em has raised more than $700,000 for the Cancer Support Center.
