Specialty Physicians of Illinois will present a free women’s health seminar entitled, “Menopause and Mental Health: Empowering Women for the Change of Life,” at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Franciscan Health Olympia Fields auditorium located at 20201 S. Crawford Ave.
This relaxed, intimate and informative conversation about the various clinical and psychological aspects of the change of life has been dubbed a Women’s Health Fireside Chat.
It will be led by board-certified family medicine physician Dr. Crystal Hines-Mays, board-certified obstetrics and gynecology physician Dr. Katrina Lake and licensed professional counselor Melissa Kachin.
The presenters will jointly discuss perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause signs and symptoms; effective holistic, natural and hormone therapy treatments; common physiological and mental health changes; and the potential effect of exercise, lifestyle changes and natural supplements.
