A 48-year-old man was found dead Saturday morning when Homewood police responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 900 block of 175th Street.

The victim was found in an office about 10:30 a.m.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the family, police said.

“At this time, the investigation indicates that there is not an on-going threat to the community,” police said.
