The Homewood Board of Trustees will consider four ordinances at its regular meeting Tuesday that, if approved, would pave the way for the development of a warehouse fulfillment center to be built on the site of Calumet Country Club.
On Thursday, March 4, the village Planning and Zoning Commission voted not to recommend the zoning amendment, special use permit and planned unit developed requested by W&E Ventures/Diversified Partners.
- ORDINANCE M-2164: An ordinance rezoning property at 2150 175th Street, Homewood, Illinois from PL-2 Public Land and Open Space District to M-1 Limited Manufacturing District.
- ORDINANCE MC-1047: An ordinance amending the Homewood Zoning Ordinance Related to PUDs in the M-1 Limited Manufacturing District.
- ORDINANCE M-2165: An ordinance approving a special use and granting preliminary approval for a Planned Unit Development at 2150 175th Street, Homewood, Illinois.
- ORDINANCE M-2166: An ordinance adopting an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Homewood.
South Suburbs for Greenspace Over Concrete, a group of area residents opposed to the redevelopment project, is planning a rally at 6 p.m. in front of village hall, 2020 Chestnut Road. The board meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
Members of the public may attend the meeting in person at the village hall in the first floor board room, although capacity may be limited to maintain social distancing as recommended by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control. Everyone entering the Village Hall must wear a face covering.
Members of the public may comment on agenda items or other subjects related to village business by email to [email protected] or by placing written comments in the drop box outside village hall. Comments received by 4 p.m. on Tuesday will be read into the record of the meeting.
