Chaneyville’s Flossmoor Baseball Academy is holding tryouts at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Bronco Field in Flossmoor, located just west of Western Avenue School, 940 Western Ave.
The mission of the academy is to educate, inspire and mentor young athletes to become successful, confident individuals, according to founder Fred Chaney.
“The academy provides players the opportunity to play at the player’s highest level and learn the value of mental and physical personal development,” he said. “We focus on preparing youth players for high school and college and have created an environment for athletes to play the game with passion, strong work ethic, teamwork and discipline. We develop players to become students of life and students of the game.”
The elite-level baseball program operates under the Flossmoor Baseball and Softball organization. Tryouts are open for players ages 9 to 13.
