Flossmoor trustees expected to adopt referendum ballot language

Flossmoor trustees will consider an ordinance on Monday formally adopting the ballot language for a bond referendum. If approved, the bond funds would be used to fund street and storm sewer improvements.

The board voted at its Aug. 3 meeting to place the referendum on the November ballot.

Also, Mark Cagle will be sworn in as a sergeant with the Flossmoor Police Department. Cagle has been with the department since 2006.

In other business, the board will consider a measure to reduce the speed limit to 15 miles per hour on Butterfield Road from the intersection with Brookwood Drive to the dead end.

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the board room at Flossmoor village hall, 2800 Flossmoor Road.
