Kaitlyn Jackson and John Russell, Homewood-Flossmoor High School Class of 2020 graduates, have received $2,500 scholarships from the Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation.
The scholarships are part of the foundation’s Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program recognizing high school seniors for their community service, academic performance and leadership skills.
These scholarships are provided to give these students the opportunity to continue their education to better compete in tomorrow’s workplace. Applicants to the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program must demonstrate academic excellence, commitment to community service, and outstanding qualities in character, integrity, and leadership.
Russell, of Flossmoor, will attend the University of Southern California. Jackson will attend Florida A&M University.
