Prairie State College is giving returning and new students two additional options to register for fall classes — drive-up and walk-in — through Sept. 3.
For the fall semester, PSC will continue operating virtually with all classes offered online, except for specific labs.
The Rapid Registration options give attendees a chance to speak with advisors, meet with enrollment services, financial aid, the business office and other key departments.
Individuals can also register online via WebAdvisor and by email, phone and Google Hangouts.
“Our students and community members are faced with many challenges,” said Jaime Miller, dean of enrollment management. “We want to eliminate some of the obstacles by providing them with the opportunity to meet face-to-face with PSC staff so we can assist with the enrollment process.”
Drive-up registration will be held at the Transportation, Warehouse and Logistics (TWL) building located at 191 S. Halsted St., in Chicago Heights next door to the McDonald’s on Halsted. Attendees will pull in through the gate off Halsted Street and will remain in their vehicles during service. Staff and volunteers will be present to provide instructions and assist with the flow of traffic. No appointment is required.
Drive-up registration will be closed on days of extreme heat and inclement weather. Attendees will have the option to return on a different day or book a walk-in appointment online.
Walk-ins will be held in the Atrium of the main campus, located at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights, by appointment only. Attendees can reserve a time for on-campus services at prairiestate.edu/start.
To ensure the safety of students, employees, community members and guests, all attendees must abide by the PSC Building Access Guidelines, which include wearing a facemask inside PSC facilities.
A photo ID is required to attend the drive-up and walk-in Rapid Registration sessions.
