Homewood COVID-19 cases continue to rise. New cases and deaths drop slightly statewide. Markham testing site hours and procedures clarified. Homewood Public Library will open the book return during limited times for the rest of May. Flossmoor Public Library continues regular virtual programs.

Summer events

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
