As pandemic continues, golfers allowed to resume play — with restrictions

As the state moved into Phase 1B of the COVID-19 Vaccination Administration Plan on Monday, Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced a new portal at coronavirus.illinois.gov to provide residents with information about the COVID-19 vaccine and how they can register to receive the vaccine. 

Coronavirus.illinois.gov will provide eligible residents with nearby vaccination sites, information on how to make an appointment to receive the vaccine, updates on the state’s plan and eligibility and answers . . .

Fall events

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.

  • Dia de los Muertos in downtown Homewood. Details to follow.
