COVID-19 deaths jump in Homewood, drop in state. Commissioner to host webinar to help churches and non-profits learn how to benefit from SBA emergency relief funds.

Death rate drops in the state, rise in Homewood. After setting a record for COVID-19 deaths in a single day on Tuesday, 144, the number dropped to 92. In Homewood, five more deaths were attributed to the virus, according to the Cook County Department of Public Health, bringing the total to 16.
