The Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO) will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, at St. Peter’s Church, 12 W. Sauk Trail in Frankfort.
SYSO is the youth orchestra of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra.
For this chamber music concert, the musicians will perform works by Vivaldi, Mozart and Bach. Younger members of the orchestra will also perform.
Tickets are $10. Children 10 and younger are free.
In addition, SYSO is holding auditions on Sunday, Feb. 23, for students ages 8 to 17. Students at any level – beginner to advanced – can improve their skills and hone their musicianship through participation in ensembles designed to let them learn, rehearse and perform with their peers.
