The Foundation 153 “Leap for Homewood Schools!” winter gala is set for 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29 at Idlewild Country Club.
The fundraiser will benefit students and programs in Homewood’s Willow, Churchill and Hart Schools, and provide grants to teachers for new and existing programs.
“The gala will return to its roots with an evening of dinner, dancing and games,” said Foundation 153 board member Melissa Jacobsen. “Guests will have the chance to bid on exciting auction items and support the foundation’s mission by purchasing chances in a Bottle Pull, a Heads or Tails Game and a 50/50 raffle with the chance to win big on the night of the gala.”
Tickets for the 50/50 raffle will be available at the Feb. 29 Homewood Indoor Farmers Market at the Irwin Center, 18120 Highland Ave., and the village’s annual Chocolate Fest on Feb. 22 at the H-F Park District Auditorium, 2010 Chestnut Road.
“The gala also features a silent auction with goodies from some of our finest Homewood businesses. Expect a chance to bid on fun events for kids, a White Sox experience and custom artwork,” Jacobsen said. “There will be something for everyone at this year’s auction, but if you cannot make it to the gala, items will be available for online bidding starting the week before.”
Tickets are $85 per person, or $150 per couple. Tickets are available at foundation153.org.
