Sen. Patrick Joyce opens campaign office

Sen. Patrick Joyce, D-Essex, opened his campaign headquarters at 15 Meadowview Square in Kankakee on Saturday, Jan. 4.

He was appointed to fill the 40th District senate seat vacated by Sen. Toi Hutchinson and is seeking election in the March 17 primary. The district includes most of Kankakee County; parts of Will County including Manhattan, New Lenox and Frankfort; Rich and Bloom Townships in Cook County; and several Grundy County communities.

“This is an exciting time for me to celebrate the opening of my campaign office and welcome the good people of the 40th District to learn more about me and my vision for our district and our state in Springfield,” Joyce said. “I look forward to spending the next few weeks walking door-to-door throughout the district to share my vision and listen to their concerns. We’re all in this together to create a better Illinois, for today and tomorrow.”

Joyce is a farmer and small business owner. In a statement issued on the opening of his campaign office, Joyce said he is running for the Illinois Senate to represent the voices of his constituents’ on making health care more accessible and affordable, and the needs of small businesses that create jobs and support our families.
