A teen shot on Loomis Avenue in Homewood on Saturday has died from his injuries, according to police.
The 17-year-old victim was shot early Saturday afternoon. Police responded at 1:42 p.m. to reports of shots fired in the 19100 block of Loomis.
Based on information gathered, there is no imminent danger to the community from this incident, a police spokeswoman said.

The Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate with assistance from the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force.
