The craft brewery is selling tickets for two-hour portions of the opening for $25. Vice will donate 25 percent of the proceeds to local nonprofit organizations.

There will be three two-hour sessions on opening day beginning at 4 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 1, Vice District will host four two-hour sessions beginning at 2 p.m.

Tickets are available at eventbrite.com.

“We want a nice, intimate experience so people can really enjoy the space, ask questions, etc.,” Owner Curtis Tarver III said in an email to The Chronicle.

The event will include brewery tours, beer and “swag,” Tarver said. Vice District will be closed Sept. 2 so staff can be on hand for a fourth anniversary at its main location at 1454 South Michigan Ave. in Chicago.

Vice District began working on the Homewood location in 2016. The village board first approved a $100,000 non-TIF business incentive package in September of that year.

Permitting issues related to the building’s water supply delayed the opening.
