Marian Catholic High School is celebrating its homecoming this week. Various events and activities will take place at the school during this celebration.

As a reflection of the school’s 60th anniversary, the theme for this year’s Homecoming celebration is “Homecoming Rewind – Dancing through the Decades.”

Students are celebrating the week with a theme for each day. Monday was Opposite Day, followed by Dynamic Duo Day on Tuesday, Decade Day on Wednesday, Class Color Day on Thursday and Spirit Day on Friday. The school week will conclude with a homecoming pep rally in the West Gym on Friday afternoon.

On Friday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m., the Marian Catholic Spartans will host the Marian Central Hurricanes at Dave Mattio Field for the homecoming football game.

At 8 p.m., the doors of the Leadership Center will be open for students, alumni, friends and families for the Dave Mattio Tailgate. Cost is $5 per adult and $10 per family. Proceeds from the tailgate benefit the Marian Catholic Alumni Association.

During the same time, Marian Catholic welcomes back the Class of 2013 for their informal five-year reunion in the Leadership Center.

The weeklong celebration of homecoming concludes with the homecoming dance on Saturday, Sept. 15, at Marian Catholic.

Marian Catholic High School is a Catholic, coeducational, college preparatory high school within the Dominican tradition of study, prayer, community, and preaching. Visit www.marianchs.com for more information.
