Homewood police are investigating a report of shots fired in the 17600 block of Halsted Street early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the area at 4:56 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired. They found shell casings in the roadway, according to Homewood police.
No injuries were reported, and the incident remains under investigation by the Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit.
