Works by Shiloah Coley, a 2016 graduate; Lucy Sloan, a senior; and Kacie Schmidt, a sophomore, are among the 45 pieces on display through the month of May.

During the awards ceremony in November 2016, the students’ teachers – Jackie Wargo, Kristine Weidenhoefer and Greg Petecki – were also recognized.

“The talented artists represented in the Illinois Art Education Association Student Show exemplify the outstanding art programs across the state of Illinois,” said Joan Mills, the group’s president. “Excellence in art instruction develops students’ ability to create artworks that exceed the challenges presented by complex problems and processes. IAEA is honored to showcase these extraordinary works by this select group of student artists.”
