One-Minute Movie Festival open to creative filmmakers

The Homewood Public Library is hosting its second annual One-Minute Movie Festival scheduled for 7 p.m. June 29 at the library, 19717 Dixie Highway. “Creativity is the key,” said Kelly Campos of the Homewood Library staff. “Last year’s winners proved you can do some interesting presentations in 60 seconds.” The 2016 videos are at https://youtu.be/4_WIffNwZzM Projects will be submitted in various categories: families, youth, teen, new adult and adult.   • Nanny Nikki holiday music program at Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., at 11 a.m.
  • You Matter 2 Winter Wonderland from noon to 4 p.m. at Flossmoor Community Church, 2218 Hutchison Road. Holiday fun and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Tickets are $5 to $10 at bit.ly/3VLh2m4.
  • Miracle on Martin in downtown Homewood, 3 to 6 p.m. Ice sculpture walk, horse-drawn carriage rides, s’mores and more.
