Applications being accepted for Homewood school board’s open seat

The Homewood District 153 school board held a special meeting Monday, May 1, to elect officers and declare a vacancy on the board. Shelly Marks will continue as board president. Alex Bosch was elected vice president and Gregory Lawrence will serve as secretary. Marks then declared a vacancy after she received notification that member Steve Anderson resigned his position. He was sworn in Monday as a new member and president of the Homewood-Flossmoor High School board. The person selected to fill Anderson’s District 153 seat will serve for two years. Marks said anyone 18 . . .
