Illinois Rep. Anthony DeLuca (D-Chicago Heights) and the 80th District Senior Advisory Committee are presenting a senior information fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, Oct. 3.
The program at the John H. Blakey Senior Center, 1 Rebecca St. in Glenwood, is free. This program will offer current information to keep seniors at the cutting edge of benefits and changes to government programs.
Representatives from the Matteson Police Department, the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and the Senior Health Insurance Program will be addressing participants.
The Illinois Secretary of State Mobile ID Unit will be issuing ID cards. To receive a card bring three forms of identification: proof of address, date of birth and social security number.
Also present will be representatives from the; Illinois Treasurer’s Office I-Cash Program; Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs; Cook County Health and Hospitals System; and the Frankfort Fire Protection District My Medical Information program.
