Village officials approve agreement to account for boundary-straddling Menards expansion

Crows might want to think twice about visiting Homewood. The first Scarecrow Contest, sponsored by the village Community Relations Committee, has resulted in a small army of scarecrows to protect the community.

The contest was held at Fall Fest on Sept. 20, and village officials plan to post the entries throughout the downtown area soon to keep the village entertained and crow-free for several weeks, at least.
