Homewood library welcomes new trustees, postpones contract OK
Tim Martin and Nancy Gildart were officially sworn in May 15 as the newest members of the Homewood Public Library board of trustees. Martin won a six-year term, and Gildart will serve for two years. Current member Tom Nowak was also sworn in. He won a six-year term.

A standing-room-only crowd packed the Multipurpose Room at Homewood Public Library on the evening of March 20 for the regular board of directors meeting. Picketers on Parker Junior High worksite
Work at Parker Junior High in Flossmoor is continuing despite picketers from Roofers & Waterproofers Local 11 arguing the district and the contractors are not following prevailing wage rules. But the district says paperwork shows the work is being done at a prevailing wage scale.
