Western Avenue School Principal Chad Prosen resigned this week. He will become the new principal at Brook Forest School in Butler District 53 in Oak Brook beginning with the 2017-18 school year. The District 53 school board approved Prosen’s hiring on May 8.

District 161 OKs calendar for 2017-2018 school year
The calendar for the 2017-2018 school year was unanimously approved Monday by the Flossmoor District 161 Board of Education.
