Park employees at 97% vaccination rate

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District has a 97% compliance to its new COVID-19 employee vaccine mandate. When the board unanimously approved the new personnel policy Oct. 19, it was estimated between 80-90% of staff already were vaccinated.   • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
