Parker Junior High moving on to baseball sectionals
Parker Junior High of Flossmoor walked away with the regional title in the Illinois Elementary School Association’s baseball tournament, defeating Homewood’s James Hart School 15-4 on Monday. Hart went into the game at Lions Field undefeated. In the semi-match Saturday it scored 14-4 against its opponent. Monday the tables were turned.
Hart, Parker to face off in playoff game Monday
It will be Flossmoor facing Homewood when Parker Junior High comes up against undefeated James Hart School. Creativity abounds in STEAM Camp at James Hart School
The first District 153 STEAM Camp gave one student a chance to create replicas of Chicago’s downtown buildings, a team the opportunity to build a robot and another to produce a movie. It’s all part of STEAM — science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

In the two short years the James Hart School Smart Lab has been open, students at the Homewood school have mastered technology and on May 10 they showed off projects at the Tech 2018 Illinois program at the Illinois State Capitol.
